About Carson

Raised on sound, built for the room

Carson grew up in Bend, Oregon, chasing every kind of music he could get his hands on — funk basslines, jazz solos, pop hooks, and the low pulse of electronic tracks echoing late into the night. That mix is still what you hear when he plays: a multi‑instrumentalist's ear, filtered through warm, soulful saxophone.

On a wedding day, that means lines that bend from a Motown groove into a slow, textured ballad without ever stepping on the moment — live music that reads the room instead of performing at it.

Central Oregon is home base, and it's where Carson is putting down real roots: building relationships with the planners and venues who make weddings unforgettable. From there, he's happy to travel — closer to home today, farther as the calendar allows.

The sound

One horn, five influences

Funk Jazz Soul & R&B Pop Electronic

From a mellow processional to a horn line that pulls the whole dance floor up at once — the set is built around your music, your moments, and how you want the day to feel.

Live sax, any setup

Plays great solo. Plays even better with your DJ.

A saxophonist who can sit in on someone else's set is a different skill than performing solo — reading the DJ's cues, matching key and energy on the fly, staying out of the way of the mix until it's time to lead. Carson does both: a stand-alone acoustic set for ceremony and cocktail hour, or a live horn layered right into your DJ's reception set for a full band-meets-DJ sound.

If you haven't booked a DJ yet, ask about pairing with one — it's an easy add for planners and venues, and it's how most of Carson's favorite receptions have gone down.
